The Gospel 

The gospel is the best news you will ever hear. God created you to know Him and enjoy a relationship with Him. Our sin has broken that relationship and left us under His judgment.


In love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ—fully God and fully man. He lived the perfect life we could never live, died on the cross in our place to pay for our sins, and rose again from the dead.


Through Jesus, God offers complete forgiveness, new life, and a restored relationship with Him—all as a free gift. You receive this gift by turning from your sin and trusting in Jesus Christ alone. Anyone who does is welcomed into God’s family forever.


There is no better news, and no other way.

1. The Bible ​

God reveals Himself through the Bible—His true, authoritative Word, without error in the original manuscripts. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, it is our perfect guide for life and faith.

2. The Trinity​

​There is one living and true God—Creator of all things—eternally existing in three equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is infinitely holy, good, just, merciful, loving, all-powerful, and all-knowing.

3 The Almighty Father

​God the Father is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He cares for His creation, answers prayer, and saves all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. He is Father to those who trust in Christ and shows fatherly care toward all people.

4. Our Lord Jesus Christ​

Jesus Christ is God’s only Son, fully God and fully man. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life, died as our substitute for sin, rose from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of God. He is the one Mediator between God and humanity and will return in power and glory to judge the world and complete His redemptive work.

5. The Holy Spirit ​

The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates and indwells every believer, and empowers us for holy living and service. He inspired Scripture, illuminates truth, gives spiritual gifts, seals believers for the day of redemption, and guides the church in worship, evangelism, and mission.

6. Humanity​

God created human beings —male and female—in His own image as the crowning work of creation. The gift of gender is thus part of the goodness of God's creation.

Through free choice, humanity sinned, bringing sin and condemnation upon the entire human race. Only God’s grace restores us to a right relationship with Him. Every person of every race possesses full dignity and is worthy of respect and love because we are made in God’s image and because Christ died for us.

7. Creation and Design​

8. Stewards of Creation​

God created the universe and all that is in it by His powerful word. Human beings are His special creation, made male and female in His own image. Creation is not the product of chance or impersonal processes but the purposeful work of the triune God, who continues to sustain all things.
The order, beauty, complexity, and fine-tuning of the universe reveal God’s eternal power, wisdom, and divine nature. Through what He has made, God makes Himself known so that people are without excuse.

God has entrusted the earth and its resources to humanity as stewards. We are called to care for His creation wisely and responsibly—using it for human flourishing, the good of others, and the glory of God—while recognizing that the earth belongs to the Lord and will one day be renewed.

9. Salvation ​

All people are sinners by nature and choice and stand under condemnation. Salvation is offered freely to all who repent and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is the work of God’s grace and includes:

Regeneration —
​a new birth by the Holy Spirit that makes us new creatures in Christ.

​Justification --
​God’s full acquittal of those who repent and believe, bringing peace with Him.

Sanctification --
​the lifelong process of growing in holiness through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Glorification --
​the final, eternal state of the redeemed

There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ.

10. Missions and Evangelism ​

Every follower of Christ and every church is called to make disciples of all nations. The gospel is to be shared through verbal witness, a consistent Christian life, and methods that honor Christ.

11. The Church​

The universal church is the living body of Christ, made up of all who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. The local church is a community of baptized believers who gather for worship, fellowship, and mission. Its primary task is to take the gospel to a lost world.

​Both men and women are gifted by the Spirit for service in the church.
​

12. Church Leadership and Offices​

Our church teaches that Christ is the head of the church. He has given the local church two scriptural offices: pastor/elder/overseer and deacon.

Pastors
Lead, teach, shepherd, and guard the flock; this office is limited to qualified men as taught in Scripture. ​

Deacons
Serve the church by meeting practical and benevolence needs, promoting unity, and supporting the ministry of the pastors.

13. Church Cooperation ​

Churches should freely cooperate with one another—and with other Christian groups when appropriate—for the advance of the gospel and the work of the Kingdom, without compromising loyalty to Christ and His Word. Such cooperation is voluntary.

14. Ordinances of the Church ​

Jesus gave the church two ordinances to observe until He returns:

Baptism — the immersion of a believer in water, symbolizing death to sin, burial of the old life, and resurrection to new life in Christ. Baptism is a celebration of inclusion, both as a member of the Body of Christ in general and as a member of a local community of Christ followers in particular. 

The Lord’s Supper — a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s death and a proclamation of His return, observed by partaking of the bread and the cup.

15. The Lord's Day​

The first day of the week is the Lord’s Day, set aside for worship and spiritual devotion in celebration of Christ’s resurrection.

16. Christian Conduct ​

Christians are called to live for God’s glory and the good of others—seeking personal maturity in Christ, opposing racism, greed, selfishness, and all forms of sexual immorality, caring for the vulnerable, and defending the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death. Lasting social good flows from the gospel’s transforming power in individual lives.

17. The Christian Family​

God designed the family as the foundational institution of society. It is composed of persons related by marriage, blood or adoption. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s relationship with the church. Husbands and wives are equal in worth before God.

A husband is called to loving, servant leadership of his wife as Christ loved the church. He has the God-given responsibility to provide for, protect, and lead his family. He is responsible not only for his own spiritual growth but also for creating an environment in which his wife and children may grow spiritually.

A wife is to submit herself graciously to the servant leadership of her husband even as the church willingly submits to the headship of Christ. She, being in the image of God as is her husband and thus equal to him, has the God-given responsibility to respect her husband and to serve as his helper.

Children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and heritage from the Lord. Parents are to demonstrate to their children God's pattern for marriage. Parents are to teach their children spiritual and moral values and to lead them, through consistent lifestyle example and loving discipline, to make choices based on biblical truth. Children are to honor and obey their parents.

18. Religious Liberty ​

Every person is directly accountable to God in matters of faith. Church and state must remain separate. The state should protect religious freedom for all without favoring any group. Christians are to obey civil authority in all things not contrary to God’s revealed will.

19. Spiritual Beings ​​

God created a host of spiritual beings. These celestial beings were designed to perform specific functions within creation. The Bible lists angels, cherubim, and seraphim as examples of some of these types of beings.

They are personal and powerful, serving as messengers and ministers of God. Some, led by Satan, rebelled against God and became spiritual forces working against God's purpose. In the New Testament, demons are shown as examples of some of these spiritual rebels.

Satan is a real personal being, the adversary of God and His people, who seeks to deceive, tempt, and destroy. His final defeat is certain through the finished work of Christ.

20. Spiritual Conflict​​​

Our church teaches that believers live in a real spiritual conflict against the world, the flesh, and the devil. We resist the enemy not by our own strength but by the power of the Holy Spirit, the authority of God’s Word, prayer, and the victory already won by Christ on the cross. Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world.

21. Last Things​​​

Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to earth. The dead will be raised, and He will judge all people in righteousness. The unrighteous will face everlasting punishment; the righteous will dwell forever with the Lord in glorified bodies.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
